What Is the Cognitive Skills Program?

The Cognitive Skills program operates similarly to an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). It addresses dependencies, addictions, depression, eating disorders, and other mental health concerns without the need for detoxification or invasive treatments.

Participants are guided by a specialised therapist to process lifelong traumatic issues within a group setting. Most clients benefit significantly from this therapeutic process, with many beginning to experience greater self-awareness, independence, and personal fulfilment as the program progresses.

    How the Program Works

The Cognitive Skills program is a weekly group therapy commitment. Participants meet once a week for a 2-hour session over 12 to 24 weeks, depending on individual needs.

Where applicable, substance testing is mandatory as part of weekly participation. The program provides the structure of a higher level of care while allowing participants to maintain their daily responsibilities — work, family, and self-care — outside of sessions.

Once the program is completed and relapse prevention goals have been met, lower levels of care may be recommended to support continued progress.
