DUI Evaluation

A DUI charge in Marietta turns your life upside down fast. Between court dates, a suspended license, legal fees, and the pressure of not knowing what comes next, the stress can feel unbearable. But here is the truth the single most powerful action you can take right now is completing your DUI evaluation Marietta before your court date.

At AACS Atlanta, we have helped thousands of Georgia residents move through this exact situation for over 25 years. Our Marietta office is located at 1295 Terrell Mill Road, Suite 104, minutes from the Cobb County Courthouse, and we offer same-day appointments so you never have to wait to get started.

What Is a DUI Evaluation and Why Does Marietta Require It?

A DUI evaluation, formally called a DUI clinical evaluation, is a one-on-one assessment conducted by a licensed clinician. It is not a punishment. It is a structured clinical interview that determines what level of care, if any, you need based on your history with alcohol and drugs and the circumstances of your charge.

Georgia courts and the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) both require a completed DUI clinical evaluation before they allow license reinstatement. This is where many people make a costly mistake they complete a generic substance abuse assessment and assume it counts. It does not. A standard substance abuse evaluation only satisfies one requirement. A proper DUI clinical evaluation satisfies both the court and the DDS simultaneously. Choose the wrong provider, and you end up paying twice.

AACS Atlanta makes sure you do it right the first time.

Why Marietta Residents Choose AACS Atlanta Over Every Other Provider

Not all DUI evaluation providers are equal. Courts in Cobb County have strict standards for what documentation they accept, and submitting a report from an unqualified or non-certified provider can delay your case, jeopardize your license reinstatement, or result in additional court costs.

Here is why AACS Atlanta stands above every other option in Marietta and the greater Atlanta metro area:

1. Over 25 Years of Experience in Georgia’s DUI Legal System

AACS Atlanta has operated in Georgia for over 25 years. Our team understands exactly how Cobb County courts, probation officers, and the Georgia DDS process DUI evaluation reports. We do not just hand you a generic form. We produce court-formatted clinical reports that Georgia authorities recognize and accept.

2. Fully Licensed and Credentialed Staff

Our evaluators include licensed professional counselors (LPCs), doctors, and certified social workers. Our CEO, Dr. Jacques Khorozian, Ph.D., LPC, MAC, SAP, CCS, brings over 30 years of direct experience in the criminal justice system, including work with the Fulton County Public Defender’s Office and the San Francisco Superior Court. You do not get this level of clinical expertise at a discount evaluation clinic.

3. Same-Day Appointments and Same-Day Reports

You need your evaluation done now. We understand that. AACS Atlanta offers same-day appointments at our Marietta location, and in most cases, you leave the same day with your written clinical report in hand. No waiting days for paperwork. No scheduling delays. Your report is formatted to meet all Georgia court and DDS requirements so you can submit it immediately with confidence.

4. Court-Approved Reports That Do Not Get Rejected

This point matters more than most people realize. Some evaluation providers in Georgia charge unusually low fees and deliver reports that courts and the DDS simply do not accept. This forces clients to start the entire process over paying again and losing critical time. AACS Atlanta’s reports are accepted by Georgia courts, probation departments, and the Georgia DDS. We maintain this track record because we follow strict clinical and legal documentation standards every single time.

5. Complete Continuum of Care Under One Roof

After your DUI evaluation, Georgia courts typically require additional steps DUI school (the Risk Reduction Program), ASAM level classes, or outpatient counseling. Most providers only handle the evaluation. You then have to find separate providers for every follow-up requirement.

At AACS Atlanta, you complete every step in one place: DUI evaluation, DUI school, ASAM Level I and Level II classes, and our Intensive Outpatient Program are all available at our Marietta location. This saves you time, money, and the stress of coordinating between multiple providers.

6. Bilingual Services in English and Spanish

AACS Atlanta conducts DUI evaluations and all follow-up services in both English and Spanish. Every step of the process, the clinical interview, your written report, and your follow-up program are available in both languages at our Marietta office.

7. Locally Positioned in Marietta

Our Marietta office at 1295 Terrell Mill Road is centrally located and easily accessible from across Cobb County, including Smyrna, Kennesaw, Acworth, Powder Springs, and East Cobb. You do not have to drive into Atlanta or navigate unfamiliar areas under an already stressful situation.

What Happens During Your DUI Clinical Evaluation at AACS Atlanta?

We keep the process clear, straightforward, and confidential.

  • Step 1 Schedule Your Appointment: Call us at 800-683-7745 or complete our online form. We offer same-day appointments. You can often get scheduled within hours of reaching out.
  • Step 2 Complete the Clinical Interview: A licensed clinician conducts a one-on-one clinical interview. You discuss your personal background, history with alcohol and substances, and the circumstances surrounding your charge. The process is confidential and judgment-free. Most evaluations take between 45 minutes and two hours depending on your history.
  • Step 3 ASAM Level Determination: We apply the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria to assign you to the appropriate level of care. This ranges from a 20-hour educational program to an intensive outpatient program, depending on your specific assessment results.
  • Step 4 Receive Your Written Clinical Report: You leave with a formal written report detailing the evaluation findings and your recommended level of care. This document is fully formatted to satisfy Georgia court requirements and Georgia DDS standards.

Should You Complete Your DUI Evaluation Before Your Court Date?

Yes — and AACS Atlanta strongly recommends it.

Marietta judges notice who walks into a courtroom with a completed DUI clinical evaluation versus who shows up with nothing done. A completed evaluation submitted before your hearing signals accountability. It shows the court that you are taking your charge seriously, and it can positively influence how your case is handled, sometimes opening the door to diversion programs or more favorable outcomes.

Do not wait for a court order. Proactive action works in your favor, and AACS Atlanta makes it easy to act fast.
