The ASAM Level I and II classes at AACS Atlanta are designed to help individuals develop a deeper understanding of their relationship with substances what drives it, how it affects every area of their life, and what it takes to build a healthier path forward. Classes are available in person at our Atlanta, Marietta, and Decatur offices, and 100% virtually for clients anywhere in Georgia.
Day, evening, and weekend sessions are available throughout the week to fit around your schedule and your court deadlines.
ASAM stands for the American Society of Addiction Medicine. The ASAM criteria are the nationally recognized standard for determining the appropriate level of care for individuals dealing with substance use and addiction.
ASAM Level I and Level II classes are structured outpatient programs built around those criteria. They provide individuals with a supportive, instructive environment where they can develop deeper insight into the causes, conditions, and effects of their addictive and substance-abusing behaviors.
Georgia courts, probation departments, and DFCS commonly require completion of a specific ASAM level as part of sentencing, diversion programs, or case plans.
Every session is facilitated by trained counselors who guide participants through a structured, collaborative process:

Both in-person and virtual formats satisfy Georgia court, probation, and DFCS requirements.
Courts and probation departments across Georgia order ASAM classes as part of DUI sentences, drug-related charges, diversion programs, and probation requirements. DFCS may also require ASAM participation as part of a family case plan.
Individuals also enroll voluntarily, recognising that their substance use is creating problems in their relationships, career, health, or legal record — and choosing to address it before those consequences grow.
Regardless of why you’re here, every participant receives the same professionally facilitated, clinically grounded experience with official completion documentation issued by AACS Atlanta.
Your required level is typically specified in your court order, probation terms, or DFCS case plan. If you’re unsure, contact us and we’ll help you confirm before you enroll.
