What is an Anger Management Evaluation?
Criminal and civil courts in Georgia mandate individuals to get an Anger Management Evaluation if they have been arrested, charged, or convicted of a violent or abusive crime. The individual may have a criminal domestic violence case, disorderly conduct, civil, child custody, or social issues with anger management.
An evaluation is conducted one-on-one with a trained counselor in a confidential setting. The process requires filling out a questionnaire about certain traits and patterns. The tool we utilize at AACS is the STAXI scale.
While many people say that anger is a secondary emotion, we are all entitled and have the right to acknowledge the way we feel. Anger is an emotion we must experience as humans.
Is an Anger Management Evaluation for everyone who gets angry?
